As the temperature drops and winter sets in, the Muskegon YMCA is announcing their second annual Winter Coat Drive. Building on the success of last yearā€™s driveā€”which collected over 500 pounds of winter gear, thanks to the generous Muskegon community, donors, and partnersā€”this yearā€™s effort continues with a focus on keeping local children warm and safe throughout the colder months.

Winter presents significant challenges for many children who lack adequate gear, especially when traveling to and from school or playing outdoors. The Winter Coat Drive invites the community to unite and make a meaningful difference in the lives of local students by donating essential winter clothing.

The Muskegon Y is calling on generous community members, businesses, and organizations to donate new or gently used winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots. Every contribution, big or small, will go a long way in providing warmth and comfort to those who need it most.
